How to Level Guns Fast in the MW4 Beta

The Modern Warfare 4 beta is short, and a gun at level 1 has none of its attachments. Here is the fastest way to level your beta weapons so you play with fully kitted guns before the beta ends.

What leveling a gun actually unlocks

Every weapon level unlocks attachments: optics, stocks, magazines, barrels and more. A maxed gun is the difference between a stock rifle and a real loadout, so leveling is the first thing worth doing in the beta.

The fastest ways to level guns in the beta

• Play objective modes. Hardpoint, Domination and Kill Confirmed pack players around the objective, so you get far more kills per minute than plain Team Deathmatch. More kills with a gun equipped means more weapon XP.
• Equip the gun you want to level. Weapon XP only builds on the gun in your hands, so run the weapon you are grinding even when it is not the meta pick.
• Stack any double weapon XP. Beta weekends and events often hand out double XP, and it applies straight to weapon progress. Save your grind for those windows.
• Focus one gun at a time. Spreading kills across five guns levels none of them. Finish one, then move to the next.

Which guns to level first

Level the guns you actually want to play, then the beta staples. The Han 86 assault rifle and the Iso Nightshade SMG are solid starting points, and a maxed AR plus a maxed SMG covers most maps. Grab a sniper or an LMG after if that is your style.

Do beta weapon levels carry to the full game?

Treat the beta as its own thing.
