DMZ missions and contracts are where most of the DMZ grind lives. For the original Modern Warfare II DMZ, mission completion clears any faction mission from tier 1 to 5, live now. For MW4 DMZ in Hajin, story missions, Lieutenant boss hunts, bounty runs and MIA operator rescues are pre-orders for the October 23, 2026 launch.

Objectives: faction and story missions
In the original DMZ, faction missions across Legion, Crown, White Lotus and event factions gate insured slots, blueprints and faction upgrades. Name the contract or the tier, and a pro clears the objectives and extracts. Simpler contracts often finish the same day. In Hajin, mission orders come in pages, and finishing a page opens the next story mission. The story missions are built for squads, so self-play fits them well.
Bosses: the Lieutenants
The Hundred Spirits hold Hajin, and their Lieutenants lead the specialized units inside it. You find one with intel bought at the FOB Boss Board or pulled from a Hunt Tower. Kill it and the dog tags drop, but they only count once you extract, and rival squads can track you through the tags you carry. We run the hunt and get the tags out, plus the customized weapon the Lieutenant carries if it drops.
Players: bounties and notoriety
Hunting other operators raises your notoriety and puts a price on your head. Either we hunt bounty targets and extract with their dog tags, or we get your operator out while the zone hunts you. Notoriety sits on the operator, not the account, so the heat doesn't follow you to a quiet looter in another Active Duty slot.
Rescues: MIA operators
Fail an exfil in Hajin and your operator goes MIA instead of being gone for good. You get them back from your FOB with in-game cash, and their trait progress comes with them, the gear doesn't. We farm the cash with another operator and pay the rescue. If the lost operator carries no real trait progress, rebuilding is cheaper, and we'll tell you that instead of taking the order.
Piloted or self-play
All five services can be played piloted or self-play, with pros in your squad, if you'd rather be in the raid yourself. On piloted orders the pro plays with your login, on PC in offline mode through a VPN matched to your region. Rather not share your login? On PS5 you can use PlayStation QR sign-in instead. Every run is hand-played with no cheats, tools or bots, and you follow it raid by raid in your order chat.
Honest scope before launch
Activision has confirmed Hajin, the bounty and notoriety system, MIA rescues, the Lieutenants and the FOB. The mission list, the Lieutenant roster and the exact rewards are not public yet. That's why the Modern Warfare 4 contracts here are pre-orders: we lock the exact scope with you in the order chat once the details are live, and if the order isn't delivered as described, you get your money back. Everything confirmed so far is in MW4 DMZ explained, and the Lieutenant reveal is in MW4 DMZ at TGS 2026.
Pairs well with
Missions often call for keys or a secured case, and intel and rescues cost cash. Line them up with all DMZ extraction and loot services, or build all DMZ progression services at the same time. Both DMZs on one page: DMZ boosting.
All DMZ Missions & Contracts, FAQ
Which DMZ service do I need if I keep getting hunted for my bounty?
The MW4 DMZ bounty boost. A pro gets your operator out alive while the zone hunts you, or runs the hunting side and extracts with the bounty targets' dog tags. Mission services are for objectives, not for surviving a bounty, and if you've already lost the operator, that's an MIA rescue.
Can I play the DMZ contracts with the pros instead of handing over my account?
Yes. Mission completion, story missions, Lieutenant hunts, bounty runs and MIA rescues can all be played self-play, with pros in your squad. Pick piloted instead and the pro plays with your login, on PC in offline mode through a region-matched VPN, or you use PlayStation QR sign-in on PS5.
What happens to the loot and cash from the runs?
It stays on your account. Every reward, piece of loot, dog tag payout and bit of in-game cash earned during the runs is yours. On an MIA rescue, the cash we farm pays the rescue fee from your Wallet, and on a Lieutenant hunt, a customized weapon that drops is extracted onto your account.
Why are most DMZ contracts pre-orders?
Four of the five are for MW4 DMZ in Hajin, which launches with Modern Warfare 4 on October 23, 2026, and its mission list, Lieutenant roster and rewards are not public yet. Pre-ordering reserves your slot, and we confirm the exact scope with you in the order chat once the details are live.
Is it worth rescuing an MIA operator in DMZ?
Usually, if that operator carries real trait progress. The rescue costs in-game cash, more the further the operator got, and it brings back the operator and their traits, not the gear they went down with. If the slot was fresh with nothing in it, rebuilding is cheaper, and we'll say so in the order chat.
Can you finish a whole DMZ faction tier in one order?
Yes, on the original Modern Warfare II DMZ. Order the single contract you're stuck on or a full tier, anywhere from 1 to 5. Bigger orders are planned as a run of sessions and tracked step by step in your order chat, and if a chain needs keys or items, that's part of the scope at checkout.
