How to Unlock Parallax in MW4 (Warzone Mastery Camo)

Parallax is one of the three Warzone mastery camos in Modern Warfare 4. It is a new name with no previous Call of Duty to compare it to, and it sits on the Warzone track rather than Multiplayer.

Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, 2026. This page gets the real challenges the day Activision publishes them.

What is confirmed about Parallax

• It is one of three Warzone mastery camos in Modern Warfare 4.
• The name comes from the official MW4 camo reveal.
• MW4 runs shared camo progression across Multiplayer, Warzone and DMZ, so weapon work in one mode feeds the others.
• There is a separate set of four Pyroclast camos on top of the nine mastery camos, covered in MW4 weapon prestige.

What is not announced yet

Three things, and anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing:

• The challenges. No kill counts, no weapon requirements, no mode restrictions have been published.
• The order. Which of the three camos in a mode is the top one, and what sits below it, is not confirmed.
• Whether the old rules apply. MW4 uses shared camo progression across Multiplayer, Warzone and DMZ, which is not how older games worked, so the usual assumptions may not transfer.

Warzone camos are their own track

Warzone has run a separate camo chain from Multiplayer for several titles now, with its own names and its own challenges. MW4 keeps that split: three camos for Warzone, three for Multiplayer, three for DMZ. What carries between them is weapon progression, not the camos themselves.

How to get ready before launch

Warzone camo challenges have historically rewarded long matches and specific kill types. Resurgence gives you more fights per hour than Battle Royale, which matters if the challenges turn out to be kill-count based.

Two things worth doing in the first week either way:

• Hoard your 2XP tokens. Infinity Ward confirmed in the Ward Room that tokens now only burn during match time instead of real time, which makes them worth far more than in previous games.
• Pick your modes early. Weapon leveling is the part of every camo grind that never changes, and the levels you bring into the challenges are levels you do not grind twice.
