MW4 Shipment Bot Lobbies: What the Small Map Is Good For
By Luke Setzer · Updated 10/26/2026
Shipment arrives in Modern Warfare 4 on October 27, set on a Russian harbor. A Shipment bot lobby is the fastest way to clear camo challenges that just need volume: double kills, headshots, close range work and weapon XP. It is the wrong map for longshots, prone and mounted kills, and most marksman and sniper challenges, because there is no distance on it.
A Shipment bot lobby is a private Modern Warfare 4 match on Shipment, filled with bots instead of a public queue, so the camo challenges that are really just volume problems get done in a fraction of the time. Shipment lands in MW4 on October 27.
Shipment is back on October 27
Activision's own words: "Shipment returns! Arriving shortly after launch on October 27, the infamous small map is set on a Russian harbor."
It joins the 12 Core 6v6 maps Modern Warfare 4 launched with. Same reputation as always: the map people either queue for on purpose or quit out of on sight.
Why Shipment is the map people grind on
Most camo work in MW4 is a volume problem. Activision describes the Special Camo Challenges as "landing a certain number of double kills, mounted kills, longshots, headshots, and other gameplay challenges". Most of those need bodies in front of you, over and over, for as many matches as it takes.
Shipment gives you exactly that. There is nowhere on it that is far from a fight, so the dead time between kills mostly disappears. On a normal map a good chunk of every match is walking. Here it is not.
That is the appeal, and it is the same reason the map is divisive. What makes it good for a grind makes it exhausting to play seriously.
What actually goes faster on Shipment
- Double kills. Enemies turn up in groups because everyone is packed into the same few lanes.
- Headshots. Short range means you are putting full bursts into something close enough to aim at properly.
- Point blank and close range challenges. This is the map they were built for.
- Weapon XP. More kills per minute is more weapon levels per hour, and weapon level is what gates the eight Military camos.
- Anything that just wants a kill count. The counter does not care where the kill came from.

What Shipment will not fix
This is the part people find out the hard way. Shipment is the wrong map for a real chunk of the camo list:
- Longshots. There is no distance here. You will sit on a longshot challenge for hours.
- Prone and mounted kills. Both ask you to stay still, on a map where standing still is how you die.
- Most marksman and sniper challenges. They want range the map does not have.
If what is left on your gun is longshots with a marksman rifle, a Shipment lobby is the wrong tool. Take a bigger map and accept the slower pace. Our MW4 camo guide has the full ladder if you are working out what to clear first.
Shipment bot lobby or public Shipment?
Public Shipment is already fast. The difference is who is in it. Matchmaking puts you against people trying exactly as hard as you are, on a map where everyone spawns on top of everyone, so a challenge that forces an awkward playstyle turns into a bad evening.
In a bot lobby the match is ours and the opposition is our bots. You still play it yourself and you still earn everything, but the challenge that was miserable in public becomes routine.
How ours work
Our MW4 bot lobbies are private matches we host and fill with our own bots, booked by the hour. Shipment is a map choice on that page: pick it under Map and every match in your lobby is played there. You join on your own account from a party invite, so no login is shared, there is no VPN and nothing to install. It is a real online match, so every camo challenge, weapon level and K/D change stays on your profile.
One rule worth repeating: no nukes in the regular lobbies. Nuke runs get accounts shadow banned, and going for one gets you removed with no refund. If the nuke is what you are after, it has its own lobby with its own rules, the MW4 FFA bot lobby, and the risk there is the same.
FAQ
What is a Shipment bot lobby in MW4?
A private Modern Warfare 4 match on Shipment where the opposition is bots rather than a public lobby. You play it yourself and keep everything you earn, which makes it the fastest way to clear camo challenges that just need a high kill count.
When does Shipment come to Modern Warfare 4?
October 27, 2026. Activision put it as "arriving shortly after launch on October 27", four days after the game itself. It joins the 12 Core 6v6 maps MW4 launched with and is set on a Russian harbor.
Is Shipment good for every camo challenge?
No, and this is worth knowing before you book an hour. Shipment is excellent for double kills, headshots, close range and raw kill counts. It is bad for longshots, prone and mounted kills, and most marksman and sniper challenges, because the map has no distance in it.
Does weapon XP go faster on Shipment?
More kills per minute means more weapon levels per hour, and weapon level is what unlocks the eight Military camos on each gun. That is why people pick the small map for leveling.
Can I go for a nuke in a Shipment bot lobby?
Not in our regular bot lobbies. Nuke runs get accounts shadow banned, and trying one gets you removed from the lobby with no refund. The nuke has its own product with its own rules, the MW4 FFA bot lobby.
