How to Unlock Chiral in MW4 (DMZ Mastery Camo)

Chiral is one of the three DMZ mastery camos in Modern Warfare 4. DMZ returns as a full mode in MW4 with its own camo track, which is new: the old MW2 DMZ never had mastery camos of its own.

Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, 2026. This page gets the real challenges the day Activision publishes them.

What is confirmed about Chiral

• It is one of three DMZ mastery camos in Modern Warfare 4.
• The name comes from the official MW4 camo reveal.
• MW4 runs shared camo progression across Multiplayer, Warzone and DMZ, so weapon work in one mode feeds the others.
• There is a separate set of four Pyroclast camos on top of the nine mastery camos, covered in MW4 weapon prestige.

What is not announced yet

Three things, and anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing:

• The challenges. No kill counts, no weapon requirements, no mode restrictions have been published.
• The order. Which of the three camos in a mode is the top one, and what sits below it, is not confirmed.
• Whether the old rules apply. MW4 uses shared camo progression across Multiplayer, Warzone and DMZ, which is not how older games worked, so the usual assumptions may not transfer.

We publish this page now so it is here and current when the real requirements land, not three days after everyone else.

A camo track in an extraction mode

This is the first time Call of Duty puts mastery camos inside an extraction mode. Our read, and it is a read rather than a confirmed fact: challenges tied to a mode where you can lose a run will feel slower than a respawn playlist, because a bad extraction costs you the progress of that match. Infinity Ward has not detailed how DMZ camo progress is tracked.

How to get ready before launch

DMZ progress in MW4 runs through Orders. Learning the Orders flow in the first week, rather than chasing kills, is what gets you to the camo challenges in a usable state.

Two things worth doing in the first week either way:

• Hoard your 2XP tokens. Infinity Ward confirmed in the Ward Room that tokens now only burn during match time instead of real time, which makes them worth far more than in previous games.
• Pick your modes early. Weapon leveling is the part of every camo grind that never changes, and the levels you bring into the challenges are levels you do not grind twice.
