How to Unlock Polyatomic Reforged in MW4 (Multiplayer Mastery Camo)

Polyatomic Reforged is one of the three Multiplayer mastery camos in Modern Warfare 4. The name comes back from Modern Warfare 2 (2022), redesigned for this game, and it sits in Multiplayer rather than Warzone.

Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23, 2026. This page gets the real challenges the day Activision publishes them.

What is confirmed about Polyatomic Reforged

• It is one of three Multiplayer mastery camos in Modern Warfare 4.
• The name comes from the official MW4 camo reveal.
• MW4 runs shared camo progression across Multiplayer, Warzone and DMZ, so weapon work in one mode feeds the others.
• There is a separate set of four Pyroclast camos on top of the nine mastery camos, covered in MW4 weapon prestige.

What is not announced yet

Three things, and anyone who tells you otherwise is guessing:

• The challenges. No kill counts, no weapon requirements, no mode restrictions have been published.
• The order. Which of the three camos in a mode is the top one, and what sits below it, is not confirmed.
• Whether the old rules apply. MW4 uses shared camo progression across Multiplayer, Warzone and DMZ, which is not how older games worked, so the usual assumptions may not transfer.

What Polyatomic took in MW2 (2022)

In MW2 (2022), Polyatomic sat above Platinum in the mastery chain, under Orion at the top. The pattern in that game was the same every time: finish a tier on a weapon, repeat it across a class, then across the roster. Infinity Ward has not said whether MW4 keeps that structure, so treat the old requirements as context, not as a plan.

How to get ready before launch

If MW4 follows the MW2 pattern, the lower tiers are per weapon and the mastery tier is per class. Levelling a full class now rather than one favourite gun is the safer bet.

Two things worth doing in the first week either way:

• Hoard your 2XP tokens. Infinity Ward confirmed in the Ward Room that tokens now only burn during match time instead of real time, which makes them worth far more than in previous games.
• Pick your modes early. Weapon leveling is the part of every camo grind that never changes, and the levels you bring into the challenges are levels you do not grind twice.
